Regularly scheduled member events occur throughout the year
The NAWAC offers weekend orientation/training workshops to Associate Members and Investigators. As implied, these events are not open to the public. The NAWAC attempts to offer these events on a semi-annual or annual basis in a variety of locations. Believing that everyone, regardless of experience or professional background, should have an interest in continuing education, the NAWAC encourages all members to attend these events whenever possible. Needless to say, these opportunities provide an excellent venue for members to network and forge strong friendships.
The NAWAC also hosts an annual retreat where we discuss a variety of topics such as our most recent field operation, the upcoming year’s field operation, and a host of other topics relating to the organization as a whole.
Business meetings are also held by our Board of Directors in conjunction with our annual retreat and training camps, respectively. Organizational issues of a business nature are addressed at this time.
On the purely social level, NAWAC members will often sponsor gatherings to break bread, talk shop, and bond relationships. These gatherings are open to Associate Members, Investigators, and their families.
Non-regularly scheduled events include field operations pertaining to research projects and follow-ups to submitted sighting reports. Involvement in these activities is generally limited to Investigators and often times Associate Members on their way to graduate to the Investigator status.
