Who we are
We are the North American Wood Ape Conservancy, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Our main website address is: https://www.woodape.org. We also use several subdomains under the woodape.org domain, including but not limited to https://jointheteam.woodape.org, and https://reports.woodape.org.

If you upload images to any of our websites, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included, unless your intent is to share geo-location data with us.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on our website, you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies generally last for one year.

What personal data do we collect and why?
When visitors (including users, members, etc.) submit forms (including forum posts, messages, or similar content) we capture the IP Address for spam protection. “Capture” can be defined as collected information and said information stored in our database for later retrieval. We may also capture the email address and other personal data included in the form fields. If you submit a donation or an electronic credit/debit card transaction on our site, we do not capture any credit/debit card data.
All captured data and content are available to be retrieved by our site administrator(s) to perform routine maintenance, including necessary actions based on the submission. If a site administrator(s) believes specific captured data or content may be a threat, in any way, to the North American Wood Ape Conservancy, the data/content may be reported to our Board of Directors for further review.
We store captured data for at least 30 days. We do not sell any data we capture.
